Autumn Tour 2011

It’s been a long time since we sent out a newsletter with some real juicy information in it. Finally we’re able to tell you about our plans for the next few months and hint to the beyond.

We’re on the road for a full UK tour in October, visiting towns and cities both new and old. More importantly is that we’re going to be showcasing songs that will feature on our next album which will be coming out early 2012. We’ve been playing a few of the songs live for a while now but we’ve got a stack of new ones to play. The tour has some pretty exciting additions that include recording a live session for XFM with John Kennedy as well as the grand tour finale of performing at the Iceland Airwaves Festival.

Will be the title of our second full length album which will be released early next year. The legendary Guy Davie from Electric Mastering put the final touches to it and we’re really happy with the result.

Here is the tracklisting for the album. Get used to the track names, we’ll be trying to play as many as possible whilst on tour. If you’re wondering what it sounds like, well we’ll be hinting new sounds over the coming weeks/months that will hopefully get you and the many people who haven’t heard our music yet, interested and excited. It’s not been an easy process making the ‘difficult second album’ on a limited budget but we’re really happy with our direction and hope you will be too.

LASTLY…an Apples & Pears live show mega-mix

Anyone who has come to see us play over the past 18 months may have seen a small camera on the side of the stage or at the sound desk recording the performance. The aim was to build up an archive of live video recordings and we’re up to almost 50 shows now. From this footage we’ve neatly edited together a live video of ‘Apples & Pears’ featuring footage from Japan, America, the UK and Europe.

Lastly lastly… you can stream the remix we’ve done for Three Trapped Tigers’ single “Noise Trade”, out on Blood & Biscuits Records right here for free.
