First blog of the new year, what took us so long? There’s a lot to talk about!
First up, we can unveil the official video for A42. Filmed in an abandoned warehouse in Poland in the midst of Winter 2009. Directed, shot and edited by Sebastian Juszczyk of Juzz Media, we are very excited to share it with you.
Second bit of news is that there are a few nice album reviews and press pieces popping up, here are some very kind words from The Line Of Best Fit blog, “Whilst the rhythms are firmly entrenched in dub, there’s more than a splattering of everything that’s good about modern music in this.”. And we are currently the Guardian’s ‘band of the day’, which has been a lovely surprise, check out the article here, “Featuring soaring vocals and spectral soundscapes, this London trio look set to become the first mainstream dubstep indie band.”
It’s also been really great to see our songs pop up on radio station playlists around the world. Fenella Kernebone, who DJs the fantastic Soundlab show on Triple J in Australia, played one of our tracks on Sunday, which was a great moment. We’ve also seen songs on Byte FM’s playlist in Germany, fantastic!
Our album Condors is being re-issued by Monotreme Records on Feb 8 in the UK/EU and in the US on April 20. It’ll be available on CD, Vinyl (with free CD disc) and as a digital download. You can pre-order the album via Monotreme’s website. We’re also working towards a Japanese and Australian release, it’s all in the works for 2010!
We can’t wait to get out there and play some more shows, we’re working on a list of additional UK dates that’ll run into the 65daysofstatic tour, so keep your eyes peeled for dates coming soon. See you at the Social on the 9th March for a free London show!
Chris
