Hi!

First off, we’d like to say a big thanks to everyone who has come to see us play over the past few months, everyone who has put us on at one of their nights and all the bands that we enjoyed playing with (in particular A Cup Of Tea, who are excellent and drove 4 hours to play at a gig we helped put on). We’ve been gaining experience doing this music live and it’s been lovely to see familiar faces in the crowd as we stumble and then get up again. Cheers.

Anyway, we have lots of new news, so read on if you’re interested!

First Up – BBC Radio Airplay

We got our first play on Radio One last week. Very exciting for us, we are really grateful to Huw Stephens who played over 5 minutes of our song ‘Apples & Pears’ on his Radio One Introducing…. show and said it “..sent shivers down his spine”. Wicked.

We’ve also been playlisted for the Tom Robinson show on BBC 6 Music, ‘A42’ is being played in the early hours of Monday morning (23/03/09 1am – 3am GMT).

JiLted Radio

We’ve also had ‘Apples & Pears’ played on JiLted Radio on the 20th March. Thanks to Jinksy for that!

We’ve also put our tracks onto the XFM Uploaded website, which is basically a popularity contest for up coming bands. If you get a minute, please visit our page, if we get enough hits then the Djs will have a listen and consider us for radio play. Which would be nice!

If you’ve been to any of our very recent gigs you will have seen Ayu performing with us. We’ve been rehearsing together over the past few weeks and new songs are quickly coming together. We’re both really excited by the possibilities presented by Ayu joining the band and hopefully by the time we play our next run of gigs we’ll have a full set of songs to play together.

We’re taking April off from gigging as we’ve been playing a lot in London and need to give our friends a break from emails telling them to come and watch us. During this period we will be working hard on the follow up to the S Z EP and continuing to rehearse and write with Ayu. We have 4 songs already demoed, some of which we’ve been playing live for a while. So hopefully we’ll been able to get those songs up to the high standard we set ourselves and release a 2nd EP in the Summer time. We’re also working on our first professionally shot music video, more info will appear over the coming months.

We’re currently looking for music reviewers / magazine editors who would be kind enough to review our EP. Please get in touch if you’re interested. We’re also on the hunt for gigs outside of London, so if you’re a promoter please get in touch.
