Welcome to SslashZ HQ, home to news for SslashZ… Over the coming months/years, we will use this as a useful place to store updates information and the occassional exclusive from SslashZ.

It’s been a busy month of getting new recordings together for our SslashZ project. We’re in the process of mixing down 4 original compositions which will serve as a taster of what’s to come. Most of the recording has taken place in our respective home studios, but we did spend one day adding live drums and additional overdubs in Empora Recordings with Mark Roberts, cheers Mark!

Keep your ears/eyes peeled for the tracks, they will appear on our myspace page over the coming weeks.

The other big news is that after a month away from live gigs we are taking part in what will no doubt be a memorable Dubstep all-nighter in East London. Headlined by Los Angeles’ own Gaslamp Killer, this is going to be a big one. No idea what time we’re playing, a flyer is below. Please come along if you are in the London area.

I also want to sing the praises of Emiliana Torrini. Her latest album is soaked in understated beauty and when I saw her play live recently it was a pretty profound experience. She’s definitely someone who hasn’t been given due exposure, so check her out and tell a friend.
